Transformations in the digital public sector call for a redefinition of the roles of Information Systems and innovation-driving public service models comprising co-development processes. Approaches like the CO-design, CO-creative CO-constructive development (“CO3”) have been setting the process-framework with living labs, participatory design and open innovation.

The workshop is dedicated to open discussions about the current most important issues, theoretical streams and different possible ways forward. The goal of the workshop is to provide an informal interactive venue for discussing the expanding knowledge, by bridging the perspectives from IS, e-government, public administration and social sciences, and from the practitioner and citizen perspectives.

eGovernment-related questions to be discussed include:

  • Big/open data.
  • Smart Cities.
  • Social media and services.
  • Open innovation.
  • Citizen-centric eGovernment.
  • User-driven eGovernment design, management, and implementation.
  • Transparency and openness.
  • The relationship between eGovernment and the IS field.
  • Engaging stakeholders in eGovernment research.
  • Challenges of open-source and open-standard solutions.
